The most wonderful time of the year

It really is.  We all got to spend a lot of time with wonderful friends and family over the Thanksgiving holiday and we had so much fun with everyone.  So thankful to have a happy baby that I can take places and that he likes to be with different people.  He also slept 7 nights in a row through the night....but not last night, of course, b/c he knew we had to go back to work today :)  Tomorrow will be his first day at the babysitters and I am a little nervous.  Just because it is the first person, non family, to watch him.  But, I trust her and I know hes going to have fun there so I just need to relax.  More about that later!

Happy Thanksgiving week!

ohhhh so much to be thankful for!  My baby has been sleeping through the night (off and on) for almost two weeks now.  So thankful for the nights I get to sleep and feel refreshed in the morning and so thankful that I get to wake up once in a while and hold him and see his happy little face.  He is so precious.

This past weekend we got to take our first little "trip" to Cedar Rapids with Mason.  He was such a good boy!! He got to meet his girlfriend Avery for the first time and I think they really hit it off :)  Michael and I were honored to be Avery's sponsors for her baptism! So excited (I have an excuse) to spoil her for the rest of her life!!  I now honestly wish for only boys in my life.  I just think having a girl would be too dangerous on my wallet (b/c a boy is bad enough!).  I know this because the only Christmas present I have bought so far- is for Avery!

We got to close our weekend with a trip to the Festival of Trees and the Baxter Thanksgiving. 
Thank goodness for a short work week and some extra time with my Mason man, family and friends!

I'm such a sap

I was at Target and saw a child who was with Make A Wish Foundation......I immediately started crying.  I feel so blessed to have such a healthy, happy, handsome little boy. 
p.s. he has slept through the night 3 times in the past week.  I'm sure he won't tonight now that I just said that!!

A new roof

The Spain family got a new roof on our house this weekend thanks to Daddy and friends.  That meant a little bit of a disruptive weekend for Mason man though.  Add the time change in there and things are all sort of messed up!  For the first time ever I sort of wish that it was the spring ahead time change instead- as we probably could be making it "through the night".  Yesterday he was super growly too and I am not sure what is going on.  No fever- but he is drooling a lot, chewing on his hand, eating little amounts more often- just weird.  Hope things get back to normal soon!  Mama is excited b/c she actually has nothing on her calendar this week!!  woo hoo! Here is to a fabulous week!
